The Green Brook Baseball Club Spring Rec volunteer requirements for all Member Families are listed below. They are broken down into two requirements - Field Work and Shack Work.
Shack and Field Work Requirement Info:
The operation of our all-volunteer league and the concession stand (the Shack) at Green Brook Baseball Fields continues to require family support. There are 2 work requirements for the 2017 Rec season. Field Work volunteer time is accomplished through work at the GB Baseball Complex during the month of March before the season begins. Shack Work time is accomplished during the Spring Rec season. If the required hours are worked, there will be no additional charges beyond player registration to the member.
The Field Work requirement is 8 hoursor payment for the Field Work Bond is $120. Field work is to be completed prior to the opening of the season. There will be several opportunities in the month of March to fulfill this work requirement. You will check in and out with a Board member at the announced work days. Members must either have completed their Field Work hours prior to the start of the season OR give a work bond check dated 4/1/17 in the amount of $120 to a Board Member. Your player will not receive their uniform for the season until this requirement is fulfilled. Optional - Members may also pay their Field bond payment upfront if they do not want the hassle of writing a check and are unable or do not wish to work the hours. If you wish to pay via this method, please select the optional Field Work Payment at the bottom of the Player Registration page.
The Shack Work requirement is 6 hours or payment for the Shack bond is $60. The Shack Bond is collected and held at the time of registration through the Family Registration & Shack Bond Payment. Members may sign up for Shack Duty hours at the start of the Rec season. More info regarding sign-ups will be provided closer to the start of the season. Shack shifts are usually 3 hours. If a member completes their shift, they will be paid $30 at the end out of the cash register. If a member chooses not to sign up or complete their their shifts, the paid at the time of registration will be kept by the Club and the member will be considered to have paid their Shack bond.
There is no Field Work or Shack Work Requirement for families that register for TBALL only.
